EN131 - 2 Non-Professional Standard

Durability testing of standing ladders is done with a load of

150kg on 10,000 cycles.

Strength testing is done with a static load of 229kg.

Suitable for non-professional users.

Suitable for Home, retail and office infrequent use.

Non-Professional use GRP can also be used in environments

where electrical hazards exist and in Zone 1 areas.

Maximum load rating 150kg.


EN131 - 2 Professional Standard

Strength testing is done with a static load of 275kg.

Suitable for professional users.

Suitable for Factory, Warehouse, and Construction frequent use.

Professional use GRP can also be used in environments where

electrical hazards exist and in Zone 1 areas.

EN14183:2003

This European Standard applies to step stools.

The standard excludes ladders and stepladders

as defined by EN 131-1:1993.
